This in turn made the schools located in various states affiliated to the board.
In 1962 the board has 309 schools under its jurisdiction while as of 2019 it has 21271 schools in India and 25 schools in foreign land. It has both government and private run schools under its jurisdiction. Coming to the objectives of the board, it works towards incurring stress free, holistic and child centered education to the students without letting down the quality. The board analyzes and monitors the quality of the academic activities by taking feedback from different sources. The board adapts innovative methods to gain academic excellence in sync with psychological, pedagogical and social principles. The board organizes various capacity improving and empowerment programmes to make the teachers professionally competent.
It prescribes the course of instructions of public exams. It brings in reforms to the exams and evaluation process. It incurs skilled learning into the studies so that students can be job-ready anytime.
